The effect of an herbal yeast product on the development of bone construction was investigated in a specialist physiopathology laboratory at Florence University. The herbal yeast product exhibited an influence on the increase in the important proteins OPG (osteoprotegerin) and RUNX2. The study found that the herbal yeast product has a positive effect on the increase and vitality of the cells that build up bone mass (osteoblasts) and reduces the production of the cells that break it down (osteoclasts). It can be deduced from this that herbal yeast could be promisingly combined with a therapy for building up bone mass.
