Michael Schmid pursued his goals with strict discipline and a lot of dedication and can now, many years later, look back on a brilliant career. During his career, Michael Schmid became Swiss champion 14 times, European champion twice, won two World Championship medals and took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, he achieved the first victory by a citizen of the city of Lucerne since 1979 at the 2014 World Rowing Cup in Lucerne on the Rotsee, and in 2017 at the Head of the Charles in Boston, the first victory by a Swiss since that of Xeno Müller in 1994.

A spoonful of Strath for strength
"The natural herbal yeast preparation helped me to cope better with the high stresses of training and competitions".
After a successful 15-year career, Michael Schmid has announced his retirement from the national team at the end of 2019 in order to devote more time to his family and his professional career.
However, the connection between Strath and Michael Schmid is not quite over. Michael and his family will remain loyal to Strath and will regularly treat themselves to a spoonful of Strath as a restorative.
